On the 7th June 2008 Chafont & Everham Judokwai entered in a team of eight 5th and 6th Kyu under 14’s into the Northern Home Counties competition held at the BJA Wycombe Judo Centre. Due to the late cancellation of the Bucks Youth Games Judo championship this was all organised at the last moment and it is credit to those that took part that they entered with little preparation.
All of our team acquitted themselves well with some excellent demonstrations of Ippon Judo compared to the opposition. Ellie Chapman won Gold, Laura Day and Jessica Day each won Silver and Jamie Jackson earned a well deserved Bronze. Other team members were Hannah Chapman, Molly Jackson and Elliott Jackson.
As the only BJC club up against a wide number of BJA clubs, we were proud to take part and thereby increase our recognition in the area.
