David Sensei is Certified!


David Alfert has recently been certified as an official BJC International grade referee which allows him to referee at championships events throughout the world. He reguarly officiates at several IJF events in Holland, Belgium and France as well as (obviously) throughout the UK. The highlight of his career so far has been to officiate at the Macabbiah Games Israel in 2017.

David was awarded this on the 1st June 2018 upon completion of the final set of Kata demonstration to Mr. G. R. Mealing Sensei 8th Dan. This award which includes demonstration of 7 kata, practical demonstrations of technique, examination in various aspects of Judo and submission of seven essays serves as an advanced coaching award with the aim of eventual qualification to teach the coaches.
