The team with the maximium number of points is Chalfont & Evreham Judokwai with Willow Heart Judo Club in second place.
The team with the maximium number of points on an adjusted basis (where allowance is made for the difference in number of competitiors between each club) is Grange Judo Club with Harefield Judo Club in second place (Beacon Judo Club is based in Beconsfield, Bucks and therefore does not qualify to win in this competition).
Thank you!
An event on this scale is not undertaken without the help of a lot of people who put in their free time and effort on behalf of the club. It is therefore appropriate to give thanks to all of those without whom we would never have been able to host this event. The Sensei of Chalfont & Evreham Judokwai would therefore like to thank:
Carol Wilmot and Tamas Kappeter, work colleagues of David Sensei who allowed themselves to be railroaded into helping plan and arrange all the administrative bits both before and during the event (Carol) and to Tamas for moving the Chalfont Tatami (mats) over to Evreham (in the process getting a bad back) and for filming the events for this website.
Fairoze Akthar, Tom Hargreaves, Jonathon and others for laying out the mats, chairs and tables so that the event could take place almost on time.
Jessica and Alison Day for manning the weighing scales.
Laura Day, Lorraine Alfert, Nick Chapman, Jonathan Reypert, Bob Pearson, Tom French, Ruth Busse, Tim Platten, John Hargreaves, Simone Briggs and Richard Smith for undertaking the grave responsibilities of time keeping and score recording. All of these (except Richard, the only officially trained Time and Score Official we had) were given a crash course in these duties and took on the stress and strain with great aplomb.
Shona, Noah and Jonah Alfert for manning the refreshment and clothing stall.
Paul Cheney Sensei 2nd Dan from Beacon Judokwai for stepping in at the last minute as a referee.
Vic Webber Sensei 4th Dan for First Aid duties. Fortunately, he did not have much to do.
Grateful thanks to St. Albans Judo Club for the loan of their Scoreboards and red/white belts without which we would not have been able to run four mats.
There are others who should be mentioned and who have not been but solely because I do not know their names. They are mainly from the BJA clubs competing in this event and whom assisted with the score recording/time keeping and refereeing. Thank you and if you let me know who you are, your names will be placed here.
